Unity-Up and Running

The Unity game engine is one of the most powerful game engines available to developers. Let’s get it installed and running on your computer.

Head on over to unity3d.com and download the Unity Installer:

You may be immediately directed to this screen where you will select your plan:

If you aren’t sure which version, go with the Personal Plan (Free)

Unless you plan on making 6 figures off of your Unity apps in the first year, it’s best to stick with the free version.

There is also what is called the Hub which allows you to have multiple versions of Unity installed and allows for quick access to your software.

If you haven’t already, you will need to create an account and link it before you can start using Unity.

Once that is complete, you are ready to rock!
